"My grandfather, father and brother always emphasized the extreme importance of maintaining equipment, and we always used Mobil products. Today, Mobil Delvac is my product of choice. I depend on it to keep my trucks and machines running,"
- Sean Ozias, president of Ozias Lawn Care and Landscaping, Newtown, Pa.
Sean Ozias operates a full-service landscape business that offers both residential and commercial services, such as lawn maintenance, fertilzation, spring clean-up, irrigation, hardscaping and snow removal. His business has 12 employees and runs three diesel pickup trucks, a skid-steer loader, multiple mowers and two salt trucks with trailers. Ozias says even as a kid he loved working on tractors. “I could never be cooped up in a cubicle somewhere. I love being outside and working with my hands. In this profession, hard work pays off.”
Q: How did you get into the business?
Ozias: My grandfather grew crops, and I grew up helping him with the farm. When I was a college student at Delaware Valley College, my grandfather gave me a loan, and I started my landscape business by offering spring clean-up services. I had one truck and trailer and just started accumulating contracts.
Q: What is your customer-service philosophy?
Ozias: I believe in proactive customer service. We want to anticipate problems before they become problems. I call my customers constantly, checking on their satisfaction. If there’s a drainage issue, I want to identify it early and contact them before a small issue becomes a large one. It’s important to train employees to get the job done right, but there’s no substitute for being hands-on. My customers get my personal attention.
Q: How important is Mobil Delvac to your business?
Ozias: My grandfather, father and brother always emphasized the extreme importance of maintaining equipment, and we always used Mobil products. Today, Mobil Delvac is my product of choice. I depend on it to keep my trucks and machines running.
Q: Where do you purchase Mobil Delvac?
Ozias: I usually buy Mobil Delvac at Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club.
Q: How do you “own your success?”
Ozias: I believe in hard work and an attitude of never giving up. I thrive on this business, and it gives me a great sense of gratification to see a completed project. It’s all about what you put into it. The harder you work, the more you get back, not just in financial gain but in the confidence of a job well done. My business is built on its reputation, so I am motivated to always do my best possible work.
